CHECK BACK IN THE FALL OF 2010 FOR MORE INFO!

This day is dedicated to providing our homeschooled children a forum for developing a variety of communication skills.  It is designed to be an all-day event for them to have an audience for their work and to be audience members.  The public is invited to attend as part of the audience.

This event is open exclusively to homeschoolers ages 6 to 18 who

live in or file a CPI form in Story or Boone counties in Iowa.

The children will prepare each entry from one of the following five categories.  Note that there are two sets of guidelines for Presentations, based on age.

   Posters

   Presentations - Ages 6 - 7   Ages 8 - 18

   Working Exhibits

   Essays

   Poetry

The entries will be judged, and verbal and written feedback will be given according to pre-defined guidelines.

Participants can opt to receive a green “Participant” ribbon rather than compete for ribbons.  (They will be judged according to the same criteria and receive the same verbal and written feedback from judges as competitive entries).  This choice must be declared for each entry (individual or group) at the time of registration.  Ages 6-7 must choose this option.
